KOBOT ENGINEERING
Founded in 1991 by Kobus Botha, in the picturesque Paarl Valley.
Kobot Engineering was founded in 1991 by Kobus Botha, offering the manufacturing of precision parts, refurbishment of machinery, and the design and manufacturing of production machinery, plus a 24-hour maintenance service.
Our main target industry and service is to provide high-quality tooling and machine parts for can and canning equipment. The premises at 12 Zuidmeer Street, Huguenot, were designed specifically to offer this extremely specific tool and machine parts service.
During the years that followed, Kobot expanded its service offering to include continuous improvement initiatives to machine assemblies and, at request, a full machine rebuilding service.
Kobot Engineering opens in the Paarl Valley, focused on manufacturing precision replacement parts for production machinery, especially for the food industry.
Kobot becomes a trusted manufacturer of seamer parts and tooling to drawing specification for the canning industry, working with major food and beverage producers.
The service offering grows to include the design and manufacture of purpose-built production machinery, full refurbishment of seamers and fillers, and, at request, complete machine rebuilding.
SolidWorks design and SolidCAM programming, CNC turning and milling, surface and cylindrical grinding, gear cutting, and full in-house inspection, all delivered from the same Paarl Valley premises. The aim: to grow into the service provider the canning industry regards as preferred, and their only choice.
Specialty spares manufactured as per drawing, with minimum tolerances of 0.005mm. Not the exception, the baseline.
Parts are modelled in SolidWorks and programmed in SolidCAM before they ever reach the shop floor.
Every component is inspected on-site and delivered with an inspection certificate. No outsourced QC.
Kobot's aim is to be seen as a partner you can rely on and call upon whenever the need arises, day or night.
Refurbishment and upgrading of machinery is one of Kobot's focus areas, and demand keeps growing. The aim is to expand this service further into the fishing and milk canning industries, alongside the classic can-line equipment Kobot has always worked on.
